Probably one of my favorite trifectas of all time, the Guinea Pigs. I have them on VHS and DVD and watch them a few times a year. It all started in my teens when I found Asian horror in an odd shop that sold obscure VHS tapes. They quickly became more to my liking than most of the mainstream stuff. At the time very few people were watching these things. They were violent and without rhyme or reason and I adored them. In the 90's came a surge of mainstream Asian horror and it has been fairly common since. I was always ahead of my time. I especially enjoy the Japanese horror that focuses on big animated hair that will kill you. I have tried to figure out why the hair moving across a floor is so fucking creepy to me, but I got nothing unless it is a faint memory of the rats in the old farmhouse I would watch from my crib.
Watch these if you ever get the chance just for the sheer awesomeness of the special effects they conjured up for this. Some people actually thought these were snuff filmes. hahah
As a way for me to relax myself before my ACL transplant that happens this AM, I will stay up all night watching these. <3
